Marine algae have been historically an
exceptionally rich source of pharmacologically active metabolites.
Seaweed metabolite database is an open access database of secondary metabolites from seaweeds, providing
text and structure search access of chemical structures. Presently it
comprises compounds mostly from the Red algae Laurencia spp. with
comprehensive information of geographical origin, extraction and
biological activity. In addition to structure and property information,
it links compound information across web in PubChem and ChemSpider. |
